This review of "Elementality Vol. 2" is based on the free promo DVD packaged with The Skateboard Mag.
It's time again for me to express the joy I feel when I get something for free - especially a skate DVD. Just seeing the plastic wrap on a skate mag makes me stiff in the pants for the prize awaiting me inside. I suppose if I had more of a life, I'd experience thrills in a different manner. Anyway...
Elementality Vol. 1 was a great disc. This promo for Vol. 2 looks just as promising. This DVD features Dallas Rockvam's part along with a skit (Fish Tales) and some bonus stuff. It starts up with a team montage and then introduces us to a peculiar fisherman who is seeking the ultimate catch in Fish Tales. After fishing in several urban spots - storm drains and a bum's coffee cup - he catches a big fish in a public fountain and quickly attaches trucks and skates the fish. The bonus footage about the making of Fish Tales explains the story behind the fish tale. All in all, it's very well done - both funny and intriguing.

Free stuff comes in all sorts of shapes and sizes. Lately, I've been rounding out my son's library with the help of Cheerios cereal. The boxes currently contain a small book of children's stories. He still enjoys putting them in his mouth - both the books and the cereal - but soon he'll appreciate a good book... and free stuff.
Dallas kills in his part. If the rest of the full release is this good, you'll stomp your way to your local shop to haggle over the price and buy a copy.
