They say if you want something done right, you have to do it yourself. Paul Rodriguez seems to have followed this philosophy and created a great video that highlights the skating of some dudes you may not have heard of, who totally rip. Forget all the So Cal spots and endless handrails, sit back and enjoy the freshness of this flick. It's fresher than anything in your fridge and will make you hunger for sk8. How's that for a lame analogy?
Mikemo Capaldi is describes a a kid who skates like a grown man. I don't know what that means, but I'm sure someone at NAMBLA could better define it. He had a few shots skating through piles of leaves which totally brought back childhood memories. Cool footage and inventive. But it also reminded me of the time we were driving through leaf piles, in the street, and someone, who had grown tired of having to clean up after we trashed his piles, put a cinder block in the pile. Ouch - foiled!
Check out Nyjah Huston in the second montage. That kid rips. Every pro who sees this kid must groan at the prospect of having to keep up with him. Especially when so many pros are at their peek at twice his age.
