I've said it before and I'll say it again - independently made sk8 flicks are a breath of fresh air in the polluted world of endless handrails. I want to see the gritty dirty side of skateboarding as skaters see it and few major players capture it like a local can. There must be something about big budgets and product promotion that clouds so many sk8 films. It almost seems like they're filming a marketing campaign, not a skate video.
"The Better Life" is a very cool sk8 vid. It's well filmed, well edited and has a good soundtrack. Filmed in New England with a few spots on Cape Cod, you'll be treated to scenes and skaters you don't see in the average video. You'll see things like leaves on the ground and warm jackets - East Coast phenomenons evaded by the SoCal set.
Nate Dean (creator of Never Heard of It) contributed some filming for this flick.
No menu selections for this one... another dose of outtakes from the feature. It runs about 8 minutes.
