This amazing video, created by the French sk8 company Cliché, begins with the most annoying music available. Bon Appetit features spots all around Europe, North America, and Australia. The team travels to Greece, Middle East, Japan, Hong Kong, and Australia (during the SARS scare).
One doesn't really associate skateboard companies with France. In fact, few things are associated with France outside food, wine and Euro-Disney (a whopping failure of epic proportion). During George Bush's fake war with Iraq (a clever way for his crew to drain oil money from the region - worthy of treason), France's denouncement of the War on Terror (having more to do with money than eliminating terrorist threats) french fries were renamed "freedom fries".
Cliché being a clever worldly sort of group named their follow-up to Bon Appetit, Freedom Fries.
Aside from great skating, this disc shows a lot of spots you don't see in every other video made. And the overabundance of So-Cal palm trees is pleasingly absent from this vid as well. I've never heard of any of these guys before, but Ricardo Fonseca's part killed - absolutely awesome. It was way too short, but added so much to an already great DVD.
A making-of documentary, Teasers and a selection of Cliché commercials.
