20 skaters on 4 teams traveling for 2 weeks across America - making tricks, earning points and having as much fun as possible. They started at midnight in San Francisco heading off to do the tricks in the book, special challenges, awesome tricks and pick up their mystery guests.

I don't want to have to say this again, but Thrasher has done the same lame job editing the footage with this edition as well. The concept is revolutionary and cool as hell. My issue is never really knowing which team is doing what part of the challenge. Much of the footy gets jumbled together into a cool vid, but lacks the clarity of each team's goals and challenges.

The Four Teams

The four teams were: Zero, Habitat, Flip and Element. Each team had to locate a mystery guest to join their crew.

The Challenges

Some of the challenges in no particular order...

  • Getting kicked out of tens spots in one hour.
  • Ollie a priest.
  • Get a goth make-over from Ethan Fowler.
  • Get a mother and daughter into the tour van. No specs on what happens next, but this mother/daughter team didn't look up to the challenge of doing more than sitting briefly on a pleather van seat.
  • Make out with a woman over 40.
  • Focus a girl's board. When she saw her deck snap, the look on her face was a mix of blatant surprise and anger worthy of a kill.
  • Make out with a fast-food employee.
  • Ollie a convenience store clerk.
  • Everyone sniff a sk8 shoe... after a session.
  • Do a trick over road-kill. Ollies over a badger always rule.
  • Get Willy Santos to give you $50.
  • Leave a flaming bag of poop on the doorstep of the Transworld Skate offices. Classic!
  • Most stairs ollied UP. Six seemed to be the winner.
  • Skate a tree.
  • Do the Natas fire hydrant spin. No one can do that (it's been tried many times).
  • Do a rocket drop-in.
  • Eat nothing but Slim Jims and Slurpies for 24 hours.
  • Do a piggyback kick-flip. Not on my back, d00d.
  • Iron your jeans with Windsor James.
  • Find a cop who can ollie.
  • Make out with a woman with a rose tattoo. Don't all women have a rose tattoo??
  • Skate a handrail into a pool.
  • Do a Samoan Squat.
  • Build a 4-man skateboard and ride it down a flight of stairs.
  • Wear Insane Clown Posse make-up.
  • Skate on a boat.
  • Take a Dyrdek out for steak.
  • Build a quarter pipe at Dyrdek's skate Plaza in Ohio.
  • Best trick blindfolded.
  • Ollie the Washington Monument... Kids In The Hall style.

Mike V. got a "Skate and Destroy" tattoo. Cool.

The Winner?

All you spoiler-alert pussies go duck behind a wall for a moment...

The Zero team won with 4,180 points followed by Habitat, Flip and finally Element.
