Finally, I feel vindicated for taking French instead of Spanish back in school. At the time I was fairly certain the visiting the Eiffel Tower would be a cooler trip than sucking smog in Mexico City. Little did I know that Spanish would become the second language of the USA. On the other hand, this vid, although in French, hails from Montréal.

The warning below seems to be the tagline to the Skirtboarders DVD. It's nice to see someone still has a sense of humor these days.

Skirtboarders is a crew based in Montréal. The summer of 2002 brought them all together at the same time in the same city. They shared the same passions: skateboarding, going downhill, taking pictures, sharing good laughs around dinner and beers. Since then, the troop keeps on growing every year.

These women know how to have fun. Skirtboarders is amazingly filmed to give a glimpse into their skateboarding and the infectious fun they have skating together. This flick should be inspirational to any girl who skates or wants to skate. And if your girlfriend doesn't skate... trade her in on a Skirtboarder!

LIke most skate vids, Skirtboarders features a slam reel. Maybe it's just me, but I wince a lot more when a girl slams hard. Some of these ladies take a real pounding on the crete.

For those who've long followed The Skateboard Mag's Dave Carnie supposition about the attractiveness of female skaters, plan a trip to Montréal. The skirtboarders are hot! I tried to keep things toward athleticism and such, but I couldn't really end this review without mentioning a little t&a.
