Staring:
Scads of skaters...

Originally released on VHS in 1993, Sponsor Me is part of Thrasher Magazine's Skate Video Collection which consists of their first 18 videos.

No one wants to have fun skateboarding. They all want to get paid for it. Is that fun? If your goal is to become the next Tony Hawk, I'd go to business school rather than relying on this video. This video will only cost you the time you should have spent developing your own video game to star in. Anyway...

The beginning consists of people answering the question, "What is sponsorship?"

What do you suppose the top answers were?
Money? Free stuff?
You got it!

We get a look at 10 tricks you have to master to become sponsored. If you can figure out any of them from this video, you deserve sponsorship. It's funny to see Pros describe their tricks and suddenly realize its difficult to put a trick into words - but that doesn't stop them from trying.

Remember Thrasher's column called Scarfing Material? Bad recipes for stuff no one would ever eat. Chef Pierre treats us to a dish of mixed-in stuff that should never be combined. Other intermittent items include an interview with the Mighty Mighty Bosstones.

You're on your own in terms of getting sponsored, but this is a cool vid.
